Trial Wrap-up
Hi All,
For those of you who came to our trial this past weekend I hope you all had a great time and everyone and dog are doing fine with a little bit of rest behind them. I don't think we could have asked for better weather and such a great scenic field, well, at least I think so.
As I mentioned at the trial I would send out the address for ALCA's Blog and here it is:
http://www.albertalurecoursingassociation.blogspot.com
However, today a new begining is happening with our brand new good looking WEB PAGE! up for the world to see.
Check out the pictures of the trial, you may be in them, or, your dog may be front and centre, on the "events" page. Cudos to Robyn for the great picture taking.
As time progresses I expect that the web page will grow and have lots of information about what ALCA is doing and all about up-coming trials and practices. Hummm....the weather is so great maybe we should hold one in December? nah, that's pushing a bit I think.
http://www.alcaedmonton.com/
So, that's all for now. If you like it, let us know, if not, suggestions for what you would like to see?
A BIG thanks to all who came and participated at our trials, our sponsors, and finally all the club members, who, without all their dedication ALCA would not be able to put the show on.

ALCA Septermber Trial Field Change
Hi All,
Just to let you know that the field for our September 3 and 4 trial has been moved. It is still at Olsen's Field just a different field on the same property. Access will be through the gate just north of our usual spot approximately 1/2 kilometer (coming from the South or 1/2 kilometer less if coming from the North). We will sign the entrance. It is a dirt road leading to a parking area.
The field has been mowed so there should be no tall grass for the dogs to get lost in. Although not as large as the other field, the sightlines are far better so setting up the course will be much easier. The hills will be a test of the hounds but nothing too extreme. The field itself offers great spectator vantage points. The parking & benching area is atop a rise & the field slopes down from it. The terrain is hilly grass, more groomed by far than what the pasture is. Camping is available. There are port-a-potties! no line ups.
Note that course plans will be amended to suit new terrain. Comparable distances.
Questions?
Ask.
